Kids Rock

Kids Rock serves kids from birth through 5th grade. Our vision is for every child who comes through our doors to feel loved, come to know Jesus, and find a place where they can grow through fun and life-changing experiences. Our Children’s Ministry:

Is Family Focused

We are dedicated to supplementing the family in their attempt to lay a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and then to provide a place where they can grow in their knowledge and love for God. KidsimagefamilyKids Rock uses a curriculum created by Rethink Group (Orange) whose philosophy is just that: If you combine the LIGHT OF THE CHURCH (yellow) with the HEART OF THE FAMILY (red) you will make a greater impact.

“He commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.” Psalm 78:5-6

Values Children

We believe that Children are Important. They Matter to God. God loves every child, and therefore we accept them and love them, just the way they are. Children who need special attention are lovingly welcomed.

“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Is Relevant

We strive to Make the Message of Christianity Relevant to the Life of a Child. Children should never have to ask, “So what?” More than just telling Bible stories, we believe that every story in the Bible is there to help kids live daily for God.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8

Sundays at kids rock

Service Times
9:00am and 11:00am

We run a full kids program at all service times.

(Newborn – 1 year)

Loving volunteers care for infants and toddlers in a safe, fun, and worship filled environment.  Toddlers participate in an engaging Bible Story and age appropriate craft where they discover:

  • GOD MADE ME | PSALM 139:13-14
  • GOD LOVES ME | ROMANS 8:38-39

Early Childhood
(2 years – Kindergarten)

We use First Look Curriculum (Orange) which has exciting learning activities that ready children to hear about God on a deeper level as they grow. Dedicated and consistent teaching teams lead preschoolers in worship, prayer, captivating Bible stories, a monthly memory verse and fun games leading them to an understanding that:

  • GOD MADE ME | PSALM 139:13-14
  • GOD LOVES ME | ROMANS 8:38-39

There is also a snack time, so if your child has allergies please provide them with their own snack.

(1st – 5th grade)

In all of our services, elementary students start with large group time filled with high energy worship and a Bible story brought to life in fun and dynamic ways. Next they move to their classrooms for small group time where amazing leaders and students have the opportunity to learn and grow together in their faith through fun application activities and prayer time. Kids Rock uses 252 Basics Curriculum (Orange) based on Luke’s words about Jesus in Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Before they move into Middle School, we want them to grow in these three areas:

People seeking to impact the lives of kids for Christ. We provide training and curriculum and are looking for committed people to be part of consistent teaching teams in the classrooms from September through May.
Support the classroom teachers.
Lead kids in worship through songs and choreography. Leaders and teams of kids lead worship during children’s church and in the pre-school area. This position requires an audition, as well as weekly rehearsal times.
Greet and check-in families as they arrive. You will help maintain security at the check in stations 15 minutes before and into each service hour you volunteer. There is training for the Community Church Builder (CCB) program we use.
This team of creative teens performs a skit on the 1st Sunday of the month. They rehearse every Tuesday night at 6:30-8pm. There is a need not only for actors but also sound, set and costume design.

Come to the Children’s Welcome Desk to fill out a New Family Information Card, get visitor tags for your child, and be escorted to the correct classroom. All your information will be entered into our system for when you come back. Next time, come to our Children’s Welcome Desk and we’ll show you how to print check in tags. Thereafter, go to a kiosk computer and you’re set.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. All of our volunteers have been background-checked, trained and approved to work with kids. Also, when you checked in today, you received a numbered, two-part ID tag. One part is for your child and the other part is for you. You’ll present your portion of the ID tag when you pick up your child. No child will be released without matching tags. If you or your child lose either part of the ID tag, a Kids Ministry Staff member must be called to check your photo ID. If we need you, our system will send you a text message on your cell phone. If this happens, please immediately proceed to your child’s room.

To ensure the safety of all children in Kids Rock, the only adults allowed in the room are trained,
background-checked, ID-badged leaders. If you’d like to schedule a tour of your child’s room, please talk to one of our staff members. Quick goodbyes are the best, resting assured your child will be well loved and cared for.
Stop by the Children’s Welcome Desk any time to update your contact info.
The program, teaching, games and toys in each Kids Rock room are specifically designed for that room’s age group. For this reason, we insist that all kids go to their age appropriate classrooms.

Your child will be taken to a safe area outside their class in case of an evacuation. You will use your two-part ID tag to pick up your child.
Sundays at 9:00am and 11:00am. We run a full kids program at both service times.
